Medicinal uses:

External
• Dental diseases – Decoction of Vidanga as gargle
• Chronic rinitis  - nasal administration of powdered Vidanga (Pradamana nasya)

Internal
• As a vermicide – 10g of Vidanga powder are given on an empty stomach & then a purgative is given.
• Disurea – powdered Vidanga with honey.
• Tetany & Convulsion – decoction of Vidanga & Garlic made by adding 7 cups of water & 1 cup of milk.
