Attributes / Karma:
Alleviate Kapha  & Vata.
Rejuvenating. Vishtambha. Promote appetite. Purgative (sara). Heart tonic
Cure- bleeding disorders (raktapitta), asthma, skin diseases (Kushta), diabetes (prameha), fever, parasitic infestation (krimi).
Fruit – aggravate Pitta. Alleviate Kapha& Vata.
           Has the quality of Katu.Good for hair & skin (keshya), (tvaca krut)
           Cures – vomiting, cough, edema, Ama dosha & pail colour of the skin (pandu)                                                                                  
Special action – Bakuchi is the best medicine for leucoderma.
                                                                                                             
                 
Medicinal uses
External
Leucoderma – past of Bakuchi seeds is applied locally.
Leucoderma, Dermatomes, Wounds & Alopecia – oil prepare from Bakuchi is used.
Eczema – a mixture of Bakuchi & Karanja Pongamia glabra is used.
Internal
Chronic skin diseases – mixture of powdered Bakuchi + Black sesamum seeds 3-4g are taken with warm water.
